An optimization or scan failed — what now?

Read the error, retry, and fix common causes.

Failures are usually transient.

Retry first

Most failures clear on a retry. You can retry a single item or all failed items. See The Queue.

Common causes

• The page URL isn't publicly reachable.
• The page blocks crawlers.
• A timeout fetching or analyzing the page.

If it keeps failing

Confirm the URL loads in a browser, returns a normal status, and isn't behind authentication. Then retry. If it persists, contact support.
