Connecting Google Analytics 4

Authorize GA4 and select your property to enable performance measurement and conversions.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) provides sessions, pageviews, and conversion events. It powers Performance (outcome scores) and the Conversions (CRO) feature.

Connect

  1. Open the setup wizard or Settings → Google Integrations.
  2. Click Connect Google (if you already connected for Search Console, you can reuse that authorization).
  3. Choose your GA4 account, then the specific property for this site.

What GA4 unlocks

  • Outcome scores — OptimizeTrack compares sessions/pageviews before and after an optimization to measure impact.
  • Conversions (CRO) — Requires GA4 conversion events. Once events are configured, the Conversions section appears. See Configuring Signals.

If GA4 isn't connected

The app still works, but:

  • Outcome scores can't be computed (Performance will be empty).
  • The Conversions feature stays hidden.

Common issues

  • Property not listed — You're signed in with a Google account that lacks access to the GA4 property.
  • Wrong property — Make sure you select the property that actually receives traffic for this site; many organizations have multiple.
  • No events available for CRO — The property may not be sending the conversion events you expect; verify in GA4 first.
